My final school year at chief SW Nhlapho secondary school, Mpumalanga
I matriculated in 2013 at chief SW Nhlapho secondary school which is situated in Dundonald,Mpumalanga , a small under developed rural area that offers no real opportunities for prosperity in life. The only way for one to forge a better life there is to seek education and fortunate enough for the community the area has more than enough schools for all the children and there is also one college. However, about a third of these schools are short of the necessary equipment to teach, moreover, the quality of teaching and learning there is rather inferior to what i would articulate as quality education.for instant, i was in a science class but have never done an experiment because our school did not have the apparatus for that. this is part of the reason why you will find more poor people with poor matric results in our area.To conclude, our area is in reality poor and life is hard there.
below are the subjects that i did and managed to pass well in matric:
Siswati home language
English first additional language
Afrikaans second additional language
Life orientation
Mathematics
Physical sciences
Life sciences
Geography
In doing all these subjects at my school no educational technology was used for either teaching or learning, not because we didn't know to use it but because there was none. even though we did we have a computer laboratory to us as it was still as though we didn't have one because it had no internet connections and it was always closed.
